![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() CCP has been organising community events for the Town of Congleton for 20 years. The group was started up by a couple of young shop owners (Jo King and Jane Allen) who wanted to ensure their businesses would continue to flourish in this small market town which was seriously under threat from the new out-of-town shopping centres. They put up extra christmas lights in the streets, organised street theatre on saturdays, and filled the town with hanging baskets. Within a few years CCP had grown with a committee of 13 volunteers who were all highly skilled and deeply committed to support the town, its growth and its facilities for the benefit of the community of Congleton for generations to come. CCP is a not-for-profit company with nine trustees and is managed by a paid part-time administrator. CCP also has a charitable wing known as Congleton Community Trust.
Congleton Community Projects is based in the Electric Picture House (behind Bargain Booze)
